As Manufacturing Engineer Turbine and Generators (f/m/d), you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering Rotor team and give technical support to the production and engineering teams.
Through process and cost optimization, you will maintain the competitiveness of the organization and drive results for our customers.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Develop and document technical process descriptions and manufacturing principles in the heavy-duty Turbine and Generator Rotor manufacturing area
  • Take on complex manufacturing tasks with high levels of responsibility, including setup planning, lifting and tilting of heavy components, and authoring, updating, and maintaining equipment manuals
  • Ensure that work is performed in terms of safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and regulatory compliance
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor manufacturing projects as well as the introduction of new products (NPI)
  • Support NCR (Non-Conformance Report) processing in close collaboration with the quality and production teams
  • Perform risk analyses (FMEA) and cost-benefit analyses to support development and process optimization
  • Continue to develop your technical competence with a clear path toward becoming a Manufacturing Expert in Rotor and Generator production within GE Vernova Birr

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent education) with proven competence in conventional machining processes
  • Fluent German and English, both spoken and written
  • Strong autonomy, initiative, and clear, factual communication skill
  • A genuine interest in daily interaction with products and the manufacturing floor
  • Solid knowledge in mechanical integrity calculations (static mechanics)
  • Experience with lifting equipment, design, and relevant regulations is an advantage
  • Highly accountable along with good organization and communication skills
  • Analytical and methodical working method
