The Building Custodian is responsible for the overall cleanliness of Larkin Hall while maintaining a positive attitude.
Essential Functions:
· Maintain cleanliness and presentation of front office area, cafeteria, meeting rooms, bathrooms and other common areas at all times.
· Maintain floors in a clean state by sweeping and mopping
· Wash windows
· Empty and clean trash receptacles and collect recycling
· Maintains a neat and orderly janitor’s room; ensures cleaning and maintaining supplies are stocked.
· Maintain the overall cleanliness of the outer building and perimeter including, but not limited to power washing and/ or graffiti removal.
· Perform minor landscaping tasks and lawn care as needed.
· Refill humidifiers and any minor daily and weekly plant maintenance.
· Carry out deep cleaning projects in the Kitchen and restrooms as directed by the Facilities Technician and/ or Culinary Management team.
· Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate department
· Perform minor repairs on furniture, buildings and equipment
· Stock and maintain pantry, cooler and refrigerators.
· Report to work in proper uniform as outlined in the Back of the House Dress Code Policy.
· Perform minor handiwork and other relevant tasks as required by management.
