Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Lab Technician to support our advanced semiconductor R&D lab. This role is essential to ensuring smooth operation of lab activities including prototype testing, soldering and rework, equipment calibration, asset tracking, and maintaining environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity control. The ideal candidate will bring a strong hands-on background, excellent organizational abilities, and a safety-first mindset.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform precise soldering, desoldering, and rework of PCB assemblies including fine-pitch components and BGA packages.

  • Set up and operate test instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and thermal chambers.

  • Support engineering teams in prototype assembly, test execution, and fault isolation at the board and component level.

  • Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and documentation for all lab instruments.

  • Manage lab assets, inventory, and component storage systems, ensuring traceability and organization.

  • Maintain temperature, humidity, and ESD control in the lab, ensuring compliance with internal and industry standards.

  • Record test data, update lab logs, and support reporting of anomalies or performance deviations.

  • Adhere to all lab safety, cleanliness, and workflow protocols.

  • Train and guide junior lab personnel on proper equipment use and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in an electronics or semiconductor lab environment.

  • Proven expertise in soldering and reworking fine-pitch and SMT components (IPC standards preferred).

  • Familiarity with using and maintaining test and measurement tools.

  • Working knowledge of calibration and traceability requirements in R&D environments.

  • Strong organizational skills in asset and materials management.

  • Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and test procedures.
