In this 6-month internship placement based in our Paris office you will join AllianzGI Private Credit platform by strengthening our investment capabilities and having the opportunity to work on Private Credit investing in Europe.

 

Based in Zurich, Paris, London, Munich, Rotterdam and Singapore, the Private Credit platform is composed of 34 investment professionals, including 10 investment professionals in Paris. With c. €10bn AUM, we invest in European low to mid-cap direct lending transactions (including Impact deals), in Emerging Markets and in Asia.

 

The team’s strategy focuses on LBOs with top-tier private equity, targeting a wide range of investments’ profiles from senior to unitranche transactions and including one of the first unitranche small-cap impact fund – allowing commercial investors to direct their capital in a way that can address their different needs and objectives.

 

The start date will be between December 2025 and March 2026.

 

What you will do

 

  • Integrate into the daily activities of the Direct Lending team in Paris
  • Participate in the analysis of investment opportunities, including attending management meetings, reviewing financial statements, conducting market studies, and supporting due diligence processes
  • Model LBO and Corporate transactions to assess deal structures and outcomes
  • Assist with scenario analysis to evaluate potential risks and returns
  • Prepare comprehensive Investment Memoranda for presentation to the Investment Committee
  • Monitor existing investments by performing financial analyses, meeting with management teams, and preparing detailed investment reports
  • Track key developments in the European private debt market, as well as trends in private credit investing, blended finance, and emerging markets
  • Support the preparation of marketing materials and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

 

What you bring

 

  • Currently pursuing or holding a Master’s degree from a business or engineering school or university, with a specialization in corporate finance
  • Solid knowledge in MS Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Previous experience in corporate finance such as private equity, investment banking, structured finance, transaction services, or a similar field is appreciated.
  • Fluency in both French and English, with the ability to work effectively in an international environment
  • Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail
  • Proactive and positive attitude, with the capacity to work well under pressure
  • A focus on attention to detail with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
