Sr. Marketing & Communications Manager
Europe & Africa
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader for the position of Sr. Marketing & Communications Manager, Europe & Africa. This role is pivotal in strengthening Lear’s brand as a global innovator in automotive Seating and E-Systems while driving impactful marketing and communications initiatives that support business growth, customer engagement, and employer branding.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership
Develop and align marketing strategies with business objectives to position Lear as a leader in technology and operational excellence.
Customer-Focused Campaigns
Collaborate with Sales and Operations to create customer-centric campaigns that highlight Lear’s innovation, sustainability, and vertically integrated portfolio. This includes organizing customer tech shows, industry events, and product showcases to elevate Lear’s visibility and value proposition.
Market Intelligence & Digital Strategy
Conduct market research to understand consumer preferences, industry trends, and competitive positioning. Leverage digital marketing to enhance brand and product awareness across Europe and Africa.
Communications & Public Relations
Support strategic PR and communications initiatives to spotlight key achievements and maintain a positive image with internal and external stakeholders. Manage speaking opportunities, community engagement, and crisis communications.
Employer Branding & Employee Engagement
Position Lear as an employer of choice by increasing brand awareness and fostering a culture of recognition. Collaborate with HR and Talent Acquisition to support recruitment efforts through creative campaigns and social media engagement.
Brand and Visual Identity
Lead the development of compelling marketing materials that reflect Lear’s brand identity, differentiate it from competitors, and resonate with target audiences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Sales, Operations, HR, Corporate Marketing, and regional leadership to ensure alignment on strategic objectives, budget planning, and resource allocation.
Team Leadership
Foster a culture of strategy, creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in marketing or communications, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industries, with a proven track record of developing and executing integrated marketing and communications strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of B2B marketing, employee communications, public relations, brand development, and digital channels.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
- A creative and strategic mindset with a keen eye for design and storytelling.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel across Europe and Africa as needed.
