Responsibilities:

Security Oversight

  • Support physical security measures, including access control, alarms, and safeguarding of classified/unclassified information.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancing workplace security posture.
  • Assist in managing incidents involving safety or security risks.

Emergency Preparedness and Response

  • Develop, maintain, and exercise occupant emergency plans (OEPs).
  • Train staff in evacuation procedures, shelter-in-place, and continuity of operations.
  • Coordinate with the Office of Emergency Management and Bureau leadership on emergency drills and incident response.

Training and Awareness

  • Provide safety and security awareness briefings for Bureau staff.
  • Develop training materials on topics such as fire safety, workplace violence prevention, and personal security awareness

Reporting and Liaison

  • Serve as Bureau point of contact for A/DOES, the Office of Emergency Management, Diplomatic Security, and other Department stakeholders.
  • Provide monthly status reports summarizing inspections, findings, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and compliance actions.
Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience
  • Intelligence Community Directive Training
  • Unit Security Officer Training (USO) Training
  • Investigative Techniques Training

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching, coaching, and mentoring professionals on fragile states and transition topics.
  • Ability to solve problems and encourage consistent, solid performance.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • English language (written and spoken) communications skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate activities in multiple locations, act decisively in daily work, and work well in a multi-cultural team environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently to assess priorities and manage daily coordination of details with minimal supervision
Pay Range:USD $156,000.00 - USD $157,000.00 /Yr.EEO:
