This role supports Tech Services by assisting with analytics, reporting, data management, and short- and mid-term maintenance forecasting. This role helps coordinate planning activities to ensure Spirit’s aircraft maintenance requirements are executed efficiently, with a focus on supporting the Maintenance Planning Playbook and optimizing the Heavy, Intermediate, and Line Maintenance Footprint.
- Assist in preparing and updating fleet plans, heavy maintenance visits (HMV), line maintenance, and hangar schedules.
- Support capacity and demand analysis for annual and mid-range maintenance plans.
- Compile and distribute weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Perform basic data analysis on check visit performance and compare results to the plan.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and dashboards for planning leadership review.
- Monitor schedule adherence and highlight variances for corrective action.
- Serve as a liaison between planning and production teams to ensure alignment on scheduled maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Tech Ops, Production, Materials, and Finance) to ensure planning requirements are clearly communicated.
- Assist with vendor coordination for facility and manpower planning.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements to reduce downtime and support efficient fleet utilization.
- Support cross-functional projects as directed by Sr Manager, Maintenance Planning.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g. emergencies, change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of experience in Maintenance Planning, Scheduling, or related Technical Operations support role.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and database/reporting tools.
- Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs, schedules, or systems (e.g., TRAX, SharePoint, ERP).
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and detail-focused.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Exposure to Lean/Continuous Improvement practices.
