Job Title: Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)
Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Location: Siskin Children’s Institute – Outpatient Pediatric Setting
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our pediatric outpatient team. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and providing evidence-based interventions to children with developmental, neurological, and sensory processing challenges. The ideal candidate demonstrates competence in evaluation and treatment within the pediatric population and collaborates well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience in early intervention and parent coaching is highly valued in delivering family-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations with standardized testing and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services in areas such as fine motor development, sensory processing, self-care, and functional participation.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to support skill carryover at home and in the community.
- Supervise and mentor COTAs to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team (PT, ST, and others) to support holistic care.
- Document treatment sessions, progress notes, and caregiver communication accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current licensure in the state of Tennessee.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Pediatric outpatient experience.
- Experience working with autism spectrum disorder, developmental conditions, and sensory processing challenges.
Preferred:
- Feeding therapy experience.
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to supervise COTAs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively on an interdisciplinary team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist pediatric patients as needed.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and floor-based activity required.
- Active engagement in play-based and movement-based interventions.
