Summary: The Ways to Work Program Manager empowers individuals and families by providing access to reliable transportation and financial coaching through a statewide wealth-building initiative. This role supports participants from application through loan repayment, helping them improve credit, build financial stability, and achieve personal goals. As a community connector and advocate, the Program Manager builds strong relationships with participants, local partners, and service providers to ensure the program’s impact is both deep and lasting. 

Success In This Role Looks Like:  

  • Increasing program awareness through community outreach, networking, and partnerships.
  • Guiding participants through the loan process, from pre-screening and application to vehicle selection and loan closing.
  • Providing ongoing coaching in budgeting, credit, and vehicle ownership to support long-term financial success.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with mechanics, dealers, and insurance providers to ensure reliable and affordable transportation for participants.
  • Accurately tracking program outcomes, success stories, and grant-required data.

What You Bring To The Team:  

  • At least 3 years of experience providing case management and/or financial coaching to low-to-moderate income individuals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trust-based relationships with diverse participants.
  • Knowledge of the local community’s resources, strengths, and needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Proficiency with office technology, recordkeeping, and program documentation.

Requirements for Consideration:  

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education, related work experience, and lived experience. 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with low-to-moderate income individuals providing case management and/or financial coaching. Experience with the following is a plus – assessment, goal planning, motivational interviewing, de-escalation, and crisis intervention. 
  • Expert in the local community’s members, strengths, needs, and resources.  
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
