TITLE: Packer PAY PLAN: Hourly
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Safely produce side seal bags meeting all quality and productivity standards.
WORK PERFORMED:
- Manually remove finished bags from line and pack in cartons
- Perform quality checks and record information.
- Perform basic adjustments and measurements on assigned equipment with little support from the cell leader and/or group leader to maintain quality specifications.
- Prepare input rolls for splicing to current product
- Inform cell leader and/or group leader of operating problems.
- Keep accurate records of reclaim and downtime.
- Maintain clean, safe work area.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all plant and departmental safety procedures and guidelines.
- Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor and/or group leader.
- Communicate effectively with off-going and on-coming shift personnel.
- Give assistance to co-workers to reduce reclaim and downtime.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
- Able to stand/walk for extended periods
- Able to grip and reach
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Good mathematical skills.
- Able to work overtime as required.
- Capable of, and commit to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and ISO procedures
