Compensation Overview 

This role is based on flagged hours and overall shop performance.

Experience & Qualifications Needed:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• 10 years of automotive technician experience is required.
• Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes models, and sizes.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, electrical, engine, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.

• Perform quality control: Inspect completed work for accuracy, safety, and Audi standards.

 Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities: 

• Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices.
• Oversee the technician team: Assign jobs based on technician skill level, workload, and repair priority.
• Monitor productivity and efficiency: Ensure that flat-rate and hourly technicians meet performance targets.
• Mentor and train staff: Guide apprentices or entry-level techs and help implement Audi training programs.
• Adequately explains the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Assist technicians: Support less experienced techs with troubleshooting, repair strategies, and use of specialized tools or diagnostic equipment.
