  • $109,901 per annum + 12% superannuation
  • Full time, fixed term opportunity until 18/09/2026 (parental leave)
  • Geelong or Melbourne CBD based role (hybrid – 3 days a week in office, min 1 day a month in Geelong)

 

 

About the opportunity

 

As a Learning & Capability Consultant, working within the Learning & Capability Team, you will design, develop and implement contemporary and engaging learning solutions that build organisational capability and support WorkSafe’s Strategy and operational needs.

 

This opportunity will have a strong focus on creating engaging digital learning assets, such as eLearning modules and video content, while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes in a timely manner.

 

Key accountabilities

 

  • Create engaging digital learning assets including but not limited to the creation and editing of photos, images, infographics, video, audio, animations and elearning assets of varying interactivity levels, incorporating Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) where required.
  • Collaborate with internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), stakeholders and the team to design, develop and deliver a range of learning solutions (accredited and non-accredited) that respond to the capability needs and directions of WorkSafe.
  • Create, edit, review and implement high quality training resources for face to face, blended and online delivery that are engaging, linked to scheme outcomes and comply with ASQA and National Training Package requirements where applicable.
  • Provide facilitation and/or facilitation support for workshops, including both face to face and online.
  • Share and contribute technical / specialist expertise and knowledge with other team members to strengthen overall team capability and performance.
  • Investigate, analyse and recommend opportunities for improvement or change to learning solutions and programs as a result of legislation introduction or change, new policies, processes and systems, emerging issues or revisions of National Training Packages.
  • Manage own and team project plan(s) to ensure learning solutions are delivered on time and within budget.

About you

 

You are an experienced Learning & Capability professional, with extensive experience in designing and developing digital learning assets, and integrating these into blended learning solutions. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills allows you to build positive working relationships with your stakeholders. Your experienced facilitator, who is passionate about delivering high quality outcomes.

 

Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience utilising eLearning/authoring tools including (but not limited to) Articulate, Captivate and Adapt to develop engaging, creative and fully customisable eLearning assets.
  • Proven experience in working with varied stakeholder groups to ensure learning solutions and learning approach aligns with business objectives.
  • Experience (5+ years) and demonstrated ability in the design, delivery and evaluation of competency based and technical training programs, ideally within a VET or other regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in formal instructional design techniques and processes that are based on adult learning principles and practice.
  • Excellent project management skills covering the development, planning, managing implementation and evaluation stages of own and team projects.
  • Highly developed problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills within a learning and development context.
  • Excellent skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Tertiary qualification in VET; minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or equivalent).
  • A background in workers’ compensation, insurance or claims is highly desirable.
