The Westminster School District, located in West Orange County, operates 17 schools: 13 elementary sites, three middle schools, and one site which provides preschool programs. The District has approximately 1,100 employees.
The Westminster School District is recognized for high academic achievement and serves about 8,200 students, grades Preschool-8th. The district offers a broad scope of supplemental instructional programs including two dual immersion programs, GATE academy, music and band, exploratory STEAM/Coding programs, and state-of-the-art science and art facilities. Modern library-media centers, integration of technology, and specialized instruction help provide a well-balanced and rigorous curriculum to support students to become innovative, critical thinkers who readily adapt to a rapidly changing 21st-century environment.
Job Summary
Director, Student Services.Under the direction of the Executive Director of Student Services or designee, the Director provides leadership and oversight in the development, improvement, and coordination of the District’s special education programs.

Requirements / Qualifications
A minimum of five (5) years teaching, or as a service provider (i.e. speech language pathologist, psychologist, counselor, etc.) A minimum of three (3) years District Special Education level experience is desired.
Salary Info
$160,154. - $178,709. plus longevity stipend for all years of certificated service

Candidates must possess:
• Valid California Administrative Services Credential
• Master’s Degree or higher in Education, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience in a K-12 setting, in special education preferred.
• Understand, interpret, and apply federal, state education, and administrative codes, policies, and procedures.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate, trains, supervises, and evaluates the performance of assigned certificated and classified personnel.
