The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Safety and Health Specialist to join our Environmental, Health and Safety organization in Orangeburg, SC.

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Sr. Safety Specialist provides advanced safety program leadership and technical expertise for fabrication operations in Orangeburg, South Carolina. This role ensures safe and compliant operations, drives continuous risk reduction, and aligns site activities with corporate EHS policies and regulatory requirements. The Safety Specialist partners with manufacturing, maintenance, facilities, engineering, and quality functions to improve performance, prevent incidents, and foster a strong safety culture.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plans, implements, and assesses occupational health and safety programs and processes to maintain a safe and healthy work environment

• Works with management to facilitate risk management decisions

• Leads audits, inspections and investigations and coordinates resolution of issues

• Develops corrective action plans to respond to internal/external audits and inspections

• Drafts health and safety programs that provide consistent approaches to risk reduction and compliance

• Investigates safety and health incidents and complaints

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's degree or higher

• 5+ years of experience working in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS)

• 5+ years of experience assessing and evaluating risk

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a safety-related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Public Health, etc.)

• Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals

• 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• 1+ years of experience managing projects

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $110,500 – $149,500
