SUSHI COOK | Oyster Bar – Legends Bay Casino
Are you passionate about crafting high-quality sushi and delivering exceptional guest experiences? At the Oyster Bar – Legends Bay Casino, we’re dedicated to serving fresh, beautifully presented sushi in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. We’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Sushi Cook to join our culinary team and help us maintain our high standards of quality and service.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and assemble sushi dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all sushi ingredients are fresh, properly handled, and stored following food safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of sushi ingredients and communicate supply needs to management.
- Assist in training new sushi staff members to uphold quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Engage with guests at the oyster/sushi bar by providing knowledgeable menu information, answering questions, and making recommendations.
- Present sushi dishes in an appealing and appetizing manner.
- Handle customer inquiries and special requests professionally and courteously.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Cook or in a similar culinary role.
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, plating, and presentation.
- Solid understanding of food safety standards and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
