Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a skilled, full-time Psychiatrist to join our collaborative Adult Intensive Services team. This dynamic group of clinicians and psychiatrists provides compassionate, comprehensive care to a diverse adult population, primarily individuals with significant and persistent mental illness. In this role, you will conduct medication evaluations, follow-up appointments, and provide mentorship to psychiatric fellows, residents, nurse practitioner students, medical students and nurses. Schedule. We offer flexible work arrangements, either a 5 x 8-hour workweek (Monday–Friday, 8am –5pm) or a 4 x 10-hour workweek. Our hybrid model allows for a mix of remote and in-office work, with an expectation of being in the office 3 days per week and working from home 1-2 days. This schedule may be adjusted based on client, training, and community needs.
Salary for this role.
Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on years of experience, licensure, and company equity. Paid bi-weekly.
- $244,232.66 - $366,348.97
Bilingual Language Differential Pay. The rate depends on language requirements for the position and the candidate's fluency.

Employees who successfully pass a language assessment are eligible to receive bilingual differential pay. This differential is paid on a bi-weekly basis and is equivalent to 5% of the employee’s regular base rate (hourly or salaried), with a maximum of $3,000.00 per calendar year. The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full-time equivalency (FTE).
Essential Functions:
- Provide direct medical and psychiatric services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of patients assigned, on a regular basis as within the scope of State care.
- Assure clinicians in assigned services receive appropriate clinical supervision, as necessary.
- Work with multidisciplinary staff to evaluate and triage according to level of acuity, as needed.
- Share 24-hour on-call responsibilities with other psychiatrists for residential, outpatient and emergency care, as assigned.
- Maintain availability by telephone for face-to-face evaluation of emergency patients, as appropriate.
- Provide utilization review of all patients in continuing care to ensure appropriate medical/psychiatric services are received, as needed.
- Attend team and other meetings, as necessary.
- Provide consultation with other physicians and staff on patient care and difficult cases, as needed.
- Attend continuing medical education conferences to maintain excellent standards of care, on a regular basis.
- Understand and comply with organizational goals around quality, compliance, standards, and policies.
- Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
- Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner.
- Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
- Accurately and completely document patient care.
- Monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the client's care team.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine / Osteopathy.
- Successful completion of an accredited Residency training program in Psychiatry (DO/MDs only).
- Preferred: three years of relevant clinical work experience.
- Colorado Medical License with Valid Prescriptive Authority and in good standing
- Valid and Current DEA
Required Vaccination and TB Test.
