We are currently recruiting a Commercial Property Specialist to join us, responsible for the day to day management of our lease property portfolio across Bradford.

Duties include:
- Day-to-day management of the commercial property portfolio including lease renewals, lease assignments, licenses, lettings, lease breaches and overall management of the organisation's commercial stock profile.
- Produce lettings & sales information; conduct property viewings and negotiate lease terms and rental valuations where appropriate.
- Schedule and conduct periodic inspections of all commercial properties.
- Work closely with the Investment, Compliance and Repairs Teams to ensure properties are managed inline with the terms of leases and relevant legislation.
- Liaise with customers, legal services, solicitors, agents, contractors, lenders and others to achieve an excellent and effective service.
- Work closely with our Incomes Team to manage debt and maximise income opportunities.
- Resolve commercial queries and represent our commercial customers within the organisation.
- Understand and interpret leases and provide advice and guidance where required.
- Maintain records and produce regular reports and statistical information for the commercial property portfolio.
- Contribute to policy and procedure reviews relevant to commercial properties.
Requirements
- Experience of managing commercial properties, including the retail sector.
- A sound knowledge of property management including legislation regarding compliance, repairs, arrears, service charges and assignments.
- Ability to manage challenging situations, negotiating an acceptable solution with a sensitive, calm approach.
- Awareness of relevant legislation and how this may impact commercial property management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experienced at carrying out periodic property inspections and effectively dealing with issues that arise.
- Able to manage your own workload, prioritising work and meeting deadlines
- Competent at maintaining accurate records and report writing.
- Have a driving license and access to a vehicle for work.
- Experience of income management, liaison with debt management organisations and managing forfeiture.
A basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for the successful candidate as part of the pre-employment process - Criminal Conviction Checks
