ABOUT THE JOB:
This position is responsible for ensuring safety, overseeing and coordinating production activities to maximize productivity, and fostering a workforce focused on continuous improvement. You will oversee the day-to-day operational activities of the production floor.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Supervise and direct 30-45 employees across the assigned shift, ensuring the timely and efficient flow of materials and products through the facility while managing daily operational tasks.
- Actively engage in problem-solving to resolve issues that could negatively impact production.
- Promote a safe working environment by identifying unsafe behaviors/conditions and implementing safe work practices and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate operations and ensure front-line employees understand the organization's direction.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, yield, delivery, productivity, and cost control.
- Enforce compliance with safety rules, plant procedures, and cGMP policies.
- Foster positive working relationships promote high employee morale.
- Conduct performance reviews to communicate individual and company goals, evaluate performance, and identify development opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally with Maintenance and Quality to ensure optimal production
- Serve as a role model of Pretium’s values and behaviors by promoting a culture of communication, trust, respect, accountability, and a passion for excellence.
- Possess the authority to stop processes to correct safety, quality, or environmental issues and notify supervisory personnel of any noncompliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of experience working in a manufacturing facility, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Plastics blow molding operations experience with injection of preforms, 2-Stage, EBM, ISBM, IBM preferred but not required.
- Prior experience as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment is required.
