About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in the growth and evolution of the Accounting function, helping to establish and refine policies and procedures that support Lightship’s continued growth and scale. You’ll work closely with the Accounting Manager, as well as independently, to drive core accounting processes, including internal and external reporting, month-end close, and day-to-day operations such as payment processing, account reconciliations, financial statement review, and resolution of tax and payroll matters.
You will also take ownership of recording and analyzing manufacturing-related costs, including inventory valuation, sales recognition, and cost of goods sold (COGS), ensuring accuracy and insight into product-level financial performance. In addition, you will contribute to audit preparation and lead or support special accounting-related projects, including the ongoing optimization of our recently implemented ERP system.
This is a highly cross-functional role. You will collaborate with teams across the organization to support operational alignment and drive process improvement in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment. You will have the opportunity to manage and mentor team members as the accounting function expands with the business. Hybrid roles at Lightship require onsite work from our offices Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Tuesdays and Fridays are optional work from home days, when your work will be executed more successfully from home. Speak to the hiring manager to learn more.
