The National WWII Museum is currently seeking a part-time Parking Supervisor. Reporting to the Director of Parking Services, the Parking Supervisor will be responsible for the operation of the garage in absence of the Assistant Director of Parking. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, guest assistance, equipment maintenance, using Amano Pro Plus Software, working special events, and security awareness. This evening position will help to assist guests attending events, checking in to the hotel, and with the egress of transient and staff parkers. This position will help cover callouts of either of the two other positions within the Parking Department. 

Requirements

  • Assist guests. Respond to and resolve any guest complaints and customer grievances, requests, queries and comments. 
  • Monitor the day-to-day activities of the Parking Garage and the three CCC surface lots.
  • Ensure all parking equipment is operational at all times. This will include testing, preventative maintenance, and supply replenishment. Maintain a log of all service issues.
  • Report any known accidents, incidents, safety hazards to Security and the Director of Parking Services. 
  • Assist with the clean-up of debris, water spills, etc. that impacts the safety of guests, or diminish the appearance of the facility. Report major issues to the Facilities Director and the Director of Parking Services.
  • Ensure cash handling and daily reporting processes and procedures are adhered to. Notify the Assistant Director of Parking of any discrepancies.
  • Physically survey each level of Parking Garage, as well as all surface lots, on a pre-assigned schedule, resolving any issues that impact the guest experience.
  • Maintain a Daily Operations Log, noting any security, safety, maintenance, housekeeping or operational issues, including time of notification and resolution. 
  • Be available to “work the lanes” to assist in guest processing, during peak ingress and egress hours. 
  • Follow established rules, regulations and dress code requirements.
  • Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of  Parking Services and the Associate Vice President of Retail Services. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED or comparable work history. Some college preferred.
  • Able to communicate clearly and pleasantly with clients, guests, supervisors and co-workers.
  • Must maintain knowledge of the general area and attractions in the vicinity of the museum, to assist in guest inquiries.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills and abilities.
  • Must be familiar with parking equipment and software. Must be able to adapt existing knowledge to Amano-McGann Opus equipment and Amano Pro Plus Software.
  • Must be willing to learn and follow established policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to work overtime during special events or as needed.
  • Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job, specifically walking, and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
