Seeking a Training Crew Leader to play a pivotal role in strengthening Falcon’s operations through high-quality training. This position is dedicated to coordinating and delivering programs that ensure EMTs meet state and local EMS requirements while building confidence, competency, and consistency across all stations. Training Crew Leader provides hands-on instruction, uphold established standards, and serve as a trusted role model — ensuring exceptional employee experience in support of Falcon’s core values and day-to-day field operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the Management Team to support implementation of training needs based on feedback, QA/QI outcomes, and EQIP updates.
Facilitate onboarding Academies, ensuring completion of all training and compliance requirements ensuring proper documentation and communication to downstream partners.
Support new hires through all Academy learning objectives, LEMSA-required training, including annual training, by established completion dates.
Deliver CEVO (driver training) courses, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation.
Partner with Operations and Management to carry out continuing education, train the trainer sessions and employee refreshers.
Execute training methods including classroom, virtual, and peer-led instruction as assigned.
Maintain training room supplies, equipment, and Falcon team uniform inventory in OP/IQ.
Support the Field Training Officer (FTO) program by coordinating updates and assisting Leadership with training implementation.
Act as a resource to Station Managers and Crew Leaders at each station, providing tools and follow-through for ongoing training and remediation efforts.
Serve as an AHA BLS instructor, facilitating BLS CPR courses for employees.
Conduct NREMT Skills Verification courses in accordance with certification requirements.
Provide hands-on training and assistance to crews for gurney operations, fit testing, remedial training, and multi-county EMT protocols and procedures.
Assist in the delivery of safety and compliance training programs in coordination with Leadership.
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned in support of training and operational needs.
TECHNICAL SKILLS IN ADDITION TO THE CREW LEADER POSITION
Demonstrated training or instruction experience within EMS or Critical Care Transport.
Familiarity with Falcon services, service areas, and contracted facilities.
Knowledge of local, regional, and state EMS requirements.
Proficiency in Google Suite preferred.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE IN ADDITION TO THE CREW LEADER POSITION
Prior experience as a primary instructor or skills instructor within an NREMT program preferred.
Prior experience teaching BLS CPR preferred.
Certified NAMSEA EMT Instructor or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
Certified AHA Instructor or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
Certified CEVO 5 Instructor or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
Able to travel to all Falcon Ambulance locations in Northern California.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
One year of EMT field experience preferred.
Current State of California EMT License.
Medical Examination Certificate.
AHA CPR for the Healthcare Professional (BLS).
Valid California Driver’s License and Ambulance Driver Certificate (ADL).
Clean DMV Driving Record (H6, no more than three points).
Certified NAMSEA EMT Instructor or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire (preferred).
Certified AHA Instructor or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire (preferred).
Prior experience as a primary instructor or skills instructor in an NREMT program (preferred).
Must meet all additional Santa Clara County badge requirements if working in that region.
Ability to travel to all Falcon Ambulance locations in Northern California.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to pass the Physical Agility Test successfully.
Perform the physical requirements of the position including: good physical stamina, endurance, and body condition that would not be adversely affected by frequently having to walk, stand, lift, carry, and balance at times.
Able to lift, drag, hoist, and carry different types of equipment and other objects.
