Para Educator - SPED at Wheatland School District

Wheatland School District JOB TITLE: PARA/EDUCATOR-SPECIAL EDUCATION SUPERVISOR: SCHOOL PRINCIPAL LOCATION: WHEATLAND ELEMENTARY SHIFT: 8:30 AM TO 2:00 PM DEFINITION: This position is under general supervision, to assist a certificated employee in providing instruction and care to a special education student. The need for a para/educator-special education inclusion will be set out in a special education I.E.P. meeting, and the services will be directed to a specific student. Should the student have a planned absence and/or extended leaves, the aide will not report for duty. If the student is absent unexpectantly and the aide is not notified, they will be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Graduation from high school/a diploma, new employees pass proficiency examination. Special skills may be required depending upon the needs of the identified student.
