Accounting Analyst (Hybrid) at AAA, Inc.

The Accounting Analyst verifies account accuracy by conducting analysis, managing reconciliations, and supporting sub-ledger operations. Key tasks include billing, account maintenance, month-end closing, resolving discrepancies, and keeping compliance records for audits.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reviews spreadsheets and electronic transaction requests for accuracy. Imports data into JD Edwards (JDE), conducts an initial compliance check with system specifications, accounting policies, and coding criteria.
• Adjusts file layouts for import compatibility and processes requests through JDE stages to ensure proper recording of entries and outcomes.
• Liaises between work areas to analyze and interpret account issues to facilitate the proper processing of work.
• Serves in a consultative capacity to others, including the performance of research and detailed account analysis to help resolve and clear account issues, providing research results for reference. 
• Prepares entries generated for approval, ensuring transactions are correctly recorded on the general ledger.
• Acts as liaison between management and departments regarding questions pertaining to transactions, account information, changes, and account discrepancies.
• Collaborates with departments to resolve discrepancies and explain accounting issues and documentation.
• Performs the month-end closing process, including verification that all accounts are updated properly and working with other departments to ensure timely processing of the monthly closing.
• Monitors are assigned accounts weekly. Research issues and provide documentation to the department or manager for their action, notating extenuating circumstances and identifying unresolved issues. 
• Research and record outstanding items on reconciliations for company accounts.
• Maintains records for compliance reporting and audits.

 Education & Experience:

• AA degree and a minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience, or a high School diploma and four (4) years of accounting experience.
• Proficient in standard PC and Microsoft applications; advanced Excel skills required.
• Experience in research and vendor analysis.

Hiring Range: $21.23 - $25.66 an hour

This position is also eligible for participation in AAA, Inc.'s Annual Incentive Plan.
