Day Care Teacher Assistant
Teacher Assistant assists the Lead Teacher in performing a wide range of tasks in order to care for and develop educational programming for preschool age children. Some essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Assist teacher in planning and conducting daily activities
- Assist in preparing educational materials required to implement teh daily activity plan
- Maintain an orderly physical environment conductive to optimal growth and development
- Attend staff and parent meetings and contribute to these meetings
- Observe, record, and report significant individual and group behaviors
- Attend and participate in community activities that contribute to and develope professional competence
- Attend necessary in-service training to meet the NC Daycare Law.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimal Education:
Must be at least eighteen years of age or older.
Must have obtained, or be working towards Early Childhood Credential.
Minimal Experience:
Early Childhood credential and at least one year of experience required.
Other Qualifications:
Must have current CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain the same.
