This role will oversee the full lifecycle of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) initiatives, including writing requirements, managing prioritization, and coordinating implementation through Program Increment (PI) Planning and execution, while ensuring alignment with business goals. The Manager SFMC Strategy and Planning will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define strategy and enable scalable, data-driven marketing capabilities. In addition, this role will coordinate PI Planning for other critical business areas, including content, gamification, and personalization, and will deliver executive-level communications such as strategic updates, roadmaps, and progress reports for senior leadership.%3C/p%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3EManage SFMC Roadmap: Oversee the SFMC roadmap by gathering and writing requirements, prioritizing enhancements based on business value and feasibility, and ensuring strategic alignment with other stakeholders including DT, Channels, and Marketing Strategy%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EOversee SFMC Execution: Partner with DT to oversee the development and execution of SFMC enhancements, ensuring solutions meet business requirements, are delivered on time, and adhere to quality standards, while maintaining clear and consistent communication with stakeholders on progress, risks, and outcomes.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ELead SFMC Strategy: Define and drive the long-term vision and strategy for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, enhancing user engagement, enabling scalable, data-driven marketing programs, and addressing gaps in current capabilities and processes%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ECoordinate PI Planning: Manage PI Planning for SFMC and other key areas such as content, gamification, and personalization, coordinating across teams to align on objectives, priorities, and interdependencies and ensure clear organizational focus%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EDrive Executive Communications: Prepare and share executive-level updates and progress reports with senior leadership, actively communicating and discussing the status, impact, and strategic importance of our initiatives%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E%3Cp%3ENOTE: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement including approximately 50% of the time spent working onsite at our Chicago office location and 50% remotely.%3C/p%3E

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising, or a similar field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience 
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in SFMC
  • 2+ years of project / program management experience
  • 2+ years leading a team of individual contributors 
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation and campaign orchestration (multi-channel: email, SMS, push)
  • Advanced proficiency in Jira (workflows, dashboards, reporting)
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
  • Strong communication skills with clear, consistent messaging to both technical and business stakeholders
  • Recognized as a self-starter with a bias for action
  • Creative problem-solving skills, and a growth mindset approach
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
