About the Role

The Shipping & Logistics Supervisor will oversee all outbound logistics operations at our Cranbury, NJ facility. This leadership role is responsible for managing daily shipping activities, including order dispatching, cost management, routing, packing, transfers, and material audits prior to packaging. The manager will develop and lead a team to ensure accuracy, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery, while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all outbound shipping and logistics functions, including daily dispatch, cost management, routing, and delivery scheduling.

• Oversee packaging, labeling, and preparation of customer shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.

• Conduct material audits prior to packaging to confirm order completeness and quality standards.

• Coordinate branch transfers and outbound freight with carriers and internal stakeholders.

• Develop, implement, and monitor shipping procedures, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Lead, train, and mentor logistics and shipping team members to maintain high performance and accountability.

• Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams to resolve shipping or routing issues.

• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.

• Manage relationships with third-party carriers and logistics partners.

• Maintain accurate shipping records, reports, and documentation.

• Up to 25% travel to other branch locations may be required.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics, dispatching, distribution, or warehouse operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role.

• Strong knowledge of outbound freight, routing, and carrier management.

• Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and implement process improvements.

• Strong comfortability with technology and computers

• Familiarity with WMS/ERP systems (Epicor experience a plus).

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
