Overview:

LMI is seeking a Records Management Specialist to support our team within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)). Communication with the organization’s senior-level staff and collaboration with a broad range of personnel is required. The position will be located at the Pentagon. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the overarching A&S Records Management Program in the furtherance and execution of all Washington Headquarters Service (WHS), Acquisition and Sustainment (A&S), and National Archives Records Activity (NARA) Records and Information Management (RIM or RM) program requirements.
  • Support the A&S Component Records Management Officer (CRMO); working with all intra-departmental stakeholders to ensure program success and adherence to relevant federal code concerning the disposition of official records; and maintain a firm grasp on relevant program policies, publications, and directives, monitoring, supporting, and providing technical advice across a broad and diverse group of program professionals.
  • Support the A&S CRMO who will coordinate and oversee all essential program efforts through the component or subcomponent Records Liaisons (RL) to maximize program success, efficiency, and policy adherence.
  • Ensure communication is freely flowing, within, without, and throughout the RM program, with key updates and developments highlighted and recognized across each component and subcomponent.
  • Support the A&S CRMO to ensure that all A&S RL are officially appointed in writing, trained, and certified.
  • Ensure that all appointment letters and proofs of certification are formally maintained in a proper system of records.
  • Ensure that all relevant resources, templates, and forms are provided via a shared drive or SharePoint portal for ease of access.
  • Ensure proper security protocols are firmly established and maintained throughout the organization, specifically regarding the management of records that are classified at CUI and above, that contain personally identifiable information (PII), privacy information, or records at a political or otherwise highly sensitive level.
  • Assist the A&S CRMO with ensuring that DoD Records and Information Management (RIM) Pre-Evaluation (WHS-17) forms are used as a working tool to gauge program progress and identify problem areas.
  • Support the A&S CRMO with ensuring that A&S subcomponent file management plans are standardized and maintained.
  • Provide support to ensure that up-to-date records disposition schedules (RDS) are promulgated and followed with detailed plans for annual tracking, destruction, and NARA submissions or transfer.
  • Provide support to the CRMO to ensure that all required forms involving records transfer, disposition, or personnel departure within the A&S components or subcomponents are correctly completed by the gaining or losing component and are appropriately filed.
  • Assist the CRMO with Privacy and Civil Liberty RFIs and tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Clearance: Top Secret/SCI.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited college/university.
  • Minimum of five (5) years supporting a federal government customer.
  • Executive level support experience, experience within DoD and other federal agencies.
  • Experience in leading and providing technical guidance and direction involving multiple projects of high complexity.
  • Must have experience in managing customer expectations and working directly with customers.
  • Must have outstanding customer service abilities to initiative, judgement, creativity, flexibility,
    and confidence.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task across multiple projects.

Target salary range: $110,000-$120,000
