• Current student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate Geology degree
• Has already completed coursework in sedimentology and stratigraphy

• Project Management
  • Sort out cores and send to company lab
  • Relog to modern standards
  • Summarize testing results
• Organize and scan exploration data
  • Attempt to identify rock units and thickness in core logs
  • Obtain location and elevation of drill holes and input data into spreadsheet
• Introduction to aggregate mining operations
  • Tours of limestone quarries/mines and sand and gravel operations
  • Gain knowledge of the mining industry related to aggregate mining
• Quality Control process
  • Gradation sampling
  • Customer site visit
  • Gradation data and report analysis
• Safety program
  • Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) New Miner training
  • Exposure to a World Class safety program
