This role in summary
This position will audit all outbound shipments leaving the Distribution Center. Report findings to lead and submit findings in ETQ. Work is not isolated to one specific group of outbound shipping. Instead, it will include all outbound products.
Compile orders per shipping manifest, package orders for transport, load and unload trucks, and complete necessary documentation. Operator will use power equipment, including, but not limited to, sit-down rider fork truck, standing reach fork truck, standing floor level fork truck, power stretch wrapper (Lantech and Muller), and shrink bundler. Use of UPS/PRS manifest system. Employee must be able to work at heights up to 20 feet using a Turret truck.
This is a Safety Sensitive position. Employees in this classification may be randomly screened under the InSinkErator Substance Abuse policy.
Your responsibilities will include
• Compile customer orders per shipping manifest, package orders for transport, load and unload trucks, and complete necessary documentation using FIFO (First-In First-Out) practices
• Maintain order accuracy/quality standards through receiving as well as order creation and shipping
• Analyze and provide inventory, open order, and end of day reporting to designated recipients
• Train personnel on Standard Operating Procedures and develop process improvements, as needed.
• Learn and carry out inventory practices with emphasis on cycle counts (daily, quarterly, yearly) adhering to warehouse operation standards
• Process inter-organizational as well as customer focused tasks, such as processing the receiving paperwork for raw materials coming into the warehouse.
• Operate equipment per ISE safety standards consistently and effectively
• Under the direction of the Supervisor or Lead, utilize efficiency practices and update inventory management system using personal computer or RF scan gun
• Accurately prepare all required documentation following ISE standards
• Pack water products on production line
• Specials projects as assigned. Overtime may be required.
Frequently move units pallet-to-pallet, carrying a distance of 5 -10 feet.
Minimum requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Routine performance training consists of one month
• In depth position training duration 6-12 months
• Basic mathematical calculations with whole numbers and decimals necessary
• Comprehensive ability to read, understand, and adhere to Work instructions, Operator Inspection Cycles, Shipping/Receiving paperwork, Safety checklists, and other job-related materials.
• Ability to operate additional equipment such as: Stretch wrapper, heat sealer, ladders, carton taper and supplemental equipment to perform job functions
• Ability to learn and memorize warehouse layout, water kitting, positioning of raw and finished materials
• Excellent communication skills to facilitate communication with other employees, highly organized, and goal oriented
• Ability to operate a computer and computer software as well as other equipment such as RF scan gun.
Fork Truck certified with expertise on Stand-up, Sit-down, High reach, and very narrow aisle (VNA) vehicle operation within one month of starting position.
Must be able to work at heights up to 20 feet.
Preferred skills and experiences
• Prior experience with Microsoft Excel and Oracle RFP
• Understanding or prior experience with UPS manifest
