Job Summary:
Lucchese Boots are the highest quality cowboy boots in the industry. This position is responsible for different steps of the creation of the boot. This role is responsible for putting cord on leather, trimming excess lining, glue boot parts together. In addition, this position will be aligned with Lucchese values, consistent policy administration and a safe work environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
All responsibilities mentioned below can be modified but not limited based on the company’s needs.
- Receives workload from previous workstation or/and supervisor.
- Review ticket to follow instructions on color and design.
- Obtain leather quarters and correct piping.
- Cut off desired footage of piping.
- Apply rubber cement to quarters and run piping through rubber cement.
- Gently hammer the quarter to adhere piping to quarters.
- Place cording on leather and trims excess lining.
- Place desired stencil on top of leather, place cording within cut out and cut when necessary.
- Remove stencil when complete.
- Cut excessive thread.
- Meet required quota per day.
- Revise result of product and pass it to the next working station.
- Responsible to keep working area always clean.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Training: Open to learn and perform cross training in different areas.
- Leadership: Ability to lead by example and obtain support from co-workers and work independently and as part of a team.
- Skills: Strong team player with ability to communicate effectively.
Education, Experience, and/or Certifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Industrial sewing experience preferred.
