About the RoleÂ
The London Borough of Havering is looking to recruit a Social Worker in the Safeguarding Team to contribute to the delivery of an effective children’s social care service as part of a social work team, improving outcomes for children and young people in line with statutory and departmental policies, procedures and guidance.Â
If successful in your application for the role of Social Worker (Safeguarding), London Borough of Havering, you will/will be:Â
Manage a caseload dependent upon experience, grade of post and complexity of cases, utilising specialist knowledge for appropriate interventions, needs and risk assessments, care planning, child in need and child in care processes and child protection investigations.Â
Carry out high quality assessments, using child-centered, community focused, and multi-agency interventions to bring about positive change through developing effective relationships and to secure the best outcomes for children and young people.Â
Ensure children and young people plans and interventions are adequately reviewed and children protected.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Relevant social work qualification and registration Â
Experience in managing varied caseloads and conducting assessments, care planning, and reviews in accordance with legislation and procedures. Â
Strong partnership and communication skills to work effectively with colleagues, other agencies, and families, demonstrating sensitivity to diversity and cultural differences. Â
