The after-school program is a vital part of our school community, providing a structured and safe environment for our students beyond school hours. St. Malachy School is searching for a warm, caring, dedicated person to join our After School Program. The After School Care Worker will report to the After School Supervisor.
General Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe, sanitary, and orderly environment.
- Take daily student attendance and help with homework if needed.
- Ensure student understanding of program rules and procedures. Assist in resolving student disputes; refer serious discipline problems to the After School Supervisor.
- Lead a daily schedule for children to follow, including snacks, homework time, outdoor play, and indoor activities.
- Monitor and interact with students to keep students engaged in creative, artistic, and physical activities.
- Monitor students while outside in the playground areas, weather permitting.
- Maintain the sign-in and out parent book.
- Communicate with parents, as needed, regarding any issues that arise during the aftercare time.
- Participate in scheduled staff meetings, update, and assist with in-service training as needed.
- Perform related duties as assigned.

This position has an hourly salary of $19.00 per hour. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on many factors including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
