Manchester University is seeking a dedicated and motivated Men's Wrestling Associate Head Coach. This position plays a key role in the success of the program by recruiting and developing student-athletes who thrive both in the classroom and on the mat. The Associate Head Coach will collaborate closely with the Director of Wrestling and the Athletic Director in coaching, program management, and administrative responsibilities to ensure a competitive and positive student-athlete experience.
What You'll Do:
Assist in leading all aspects of the wrestling program in alignment with NCAA Division III and HCAC standards.
Recruit and mentor student-athletes with a commitment to academic success and personal growth.
Support academic monitoring, retention, and eligibility processes in partnership with the Student Success Center.
Collaborate on program operations, including scheduling, travel logistics, budgeting, and equipment management.
Organize and conduct practices, training sessions, and competitions with a focus on safety and performance.
Supervise and mentor assistant coaches, student workers, and volunteers.
Partner with the Sports Information Director on program publicity and communications.
Promote sportsmanship, integrity, and leadership on and off the mat.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree preferred; progress toward degree required.
Previous coaching and/or competitive wrestling experience preferred.
Experience within NCAA Division III athletics (as a coach or student-athlete) strongly valued.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Commitment to professional development through clinics, workshops, and coaching associations.
Must successfully complete the NCAA Division III Rules Test.
CPR/AED and First Aid certification required (training available on-site).
