The Role
As a Project Controller you’ll play a key role in ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently, helping the team deliver on time and within budget while making a real impact on project success.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll monitor and control project performance, track budgets and schedules, work closely with project managers to support delivery, and provide clear, accurate reports to keep everyone informed. You’ll also collaborate with other project controllers and SMEs across the UK, helping maintain consistent processes and best practice across the team.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and controlling project performance to ensure successful delivery
  • Supporting project managers by keeping projects on track, within budget, and aligned to key milestones
  • Producing clear, accurate reports and dashboards that provide valuable insight to stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with project control processes and driving best practice across teams
  • Collaborating with other project controllers and SMEs across the UK, gaining exposure to a wide variety of projects
  • Playing an active role in improving and shaping project control procedures to support long-term success

 

 

Essential experience of the Project Controller:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and confidence in decision-making
  • Ability to work collaboratively, building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
  • Solid understanding of the project lifecycle with the ability to monitor schedules and budgets, helping projects stay on track and deliver successful outcomes

 

 

Essential qualifications for the Project Controller:

  • Degree in finance, business, engineering, or a related field would be advantageous but not essential
  • Professional project management or project control qualification (e.g., APM, PMI, PRINCE2) would also be advantageous but not essential

This role is 37 hours per week based at Haslar or Rosyth site. Hybrid working patterns are available.
