The Opportunity.

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Fielders business in our Wangara WA team as a Sheetmetal Tradesperson. With a proud history, today Fielders manufactures and markets steel building products across Australia. We deliver customer-inspired outcomes that support architects, engineers, builders, installers and property owners in creating their vision.

This role is critical for creating specific customer requests and Fielder’s sheet metal products such as rainwater goods. (Elbow, Shoes, Flume, custom Bracket …….)

We’re looking for a self-driven, action-oriented individual with a commitment to the quality of their work, and the ability to adapt quickly and effectively manage competing priorities.

This is a Monday to Friday role, working a 38-hour week.

What Will You Do?

You will ensure that our customers expectations are met in a timely and efficient manner. To achieve this, you will-:

  • Inputting customer drawings in Auto-CAD or Auto-desk
  • Operating Turret punch and press brake machines
  • Produce rainwater goods such as rainheads and vents, to the best possible quality
  • Produce customer-specified steel products as required to the highest quality standard on time and safely
  • Ensure whole work area is clean and tidy
  • Maintain Preventative maintenance on workshop equipment
  • Ensure all paperwork is correctly documented and returned promptly to the correct persons
  • Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety practices at work

More About You

Coming from a sheetmetal / fabrication background you will demonstrate a strong customer focus and a commitment to providing excellent service to our customers as you advance in your career.

In addition, you will have:

  • Knowledge drawing skills using (Auto-CAD or Auto-desk)
  • A recognised sheet metal trade qualification
  • Experience working in a sheet metal trade role
  • Customer service orientation and efficient time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Understanding of safety responsibilities
