Front Desk Receptionist at Physician Practice Enhancement

Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist for a outpatient Geriatric and Sports Medicine office in Holmdel.

Schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thurs and Friday 8-5, Wednesday 8-12

Job Duties:

• Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors.
• Contacts patients as requested by provider.
• Schedules appointments in a manner that optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and patient exam room utilization. 
• Call patients as requested by provider staff.
• Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; alerting provider of any service delays. 
• Optimizes the patient flow throughout the office by assisting patients as needed in completing patient demographic and medical history forms. 
• Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area. 
• Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records. 
• Maintains updated records for patients by obtaining, recording, and updating personal information. 
• Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs. 
• Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal information. 
• Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
• Participates in training, orientation, competency assessment and education of new employees 
• Additional duties as assigned.
