METALLOGRAPHIC LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (F/M/X)

 

At ITP AERO, a company specialising in the design and manufacture of aeronautical turbines, we seek to incorporate a Metallographic Laboratory Technician for our new technology development centre. If you are passionate about materials science and want to be part of an innovative team, this is your chance.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Preparation and macro and microstructural analysis of metallographic samples.
  • Standardised tests according to international and internal regulations: hardness, grain size, porosity, phase evaluation, inclusions and defects.
  • Detailed documentation of results and writing of technical reports.
  • Fluid communication with internal customers and other technical areas, actively participating in meetings and project follow-up.
  • Drafting and updating of internal procedures and management of the associated technical documentation.
  • Coordination of subcontracting with external laboratories.
  • Follow-up of maintenance and calibration of equipment, support in the acquisition of new equipment and in the management of consumables.
  • Compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
  • Contribution to the continuous improvement of laboratory methods and processes.

 

Profile we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related degrees.
  • Experience in metallography laboratory, including sample preparation (cutting, drawing, polishing, chemical and electrochemical attacks) and macro and microstructural analysis.
  • Domain of optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS).
  • Extensive knowledge of international standards applicable to different testing techniques.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret results.
  • High English, C1 level certified.
  • Soft skills: Initiative and autonomy, work organisation and priorities, communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary environments.
