We are looking for an experienced Energy Market Analyst with demonstrable experience in market analysis and strategic business insights within either Nuclear, Renewables or Oil & Gas.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives, managing the nuclear strategic sales pipeline, monitoring nuclear industry portals, and overseeing the bidding process to support BV UK Nuclear growth and competitiveness. This role requires an understanding of defence and civil nuclear market trends, customer needs, and competitor positioning to drive the company's strategic direction.
Responsibilities will include:
Strategic Marketing:
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to position the UK nuclear BU and SPP product line offerings effectively in the market
- Analyse market trends and customer preferences to inform marketing strategies
- Manage direct marketing campaigns and events to reach target customers
- Collaborate with the Key Account Management and existing nuclear project teams to develop tailored customer plans
- Ensure the organisation's strategic plans are communicated effectively
Pipeline Management:
- Monitor and analyse the sales pipeline, including tender opportunities, to identify trends and highlight areas to prioritise
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system
- Assess the pipeline's strength (core, backup, and speculative) and risk, and provide recommendations for prioritisation
- Produce dashboard reports and analysis to inform strategic decision-making
Market Insights:
- Monitor and analyse energy market data, including supply, demand, pricing, and regulatory changes across various energy sectors (e.g., power oil, gas, and, renewable energy).
- Conduct competitive intelligence and benchmarking analysis to understand the competitive landscape and position of the company.
- Stay relevant on industry news, regulations, and technological advancements that may affect the energy market.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven recommendations and strategic insights.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings and support decision-making
Experience & Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., marketing, business, or a related discipline)
- A strong and demonstrable experience in a strategic marketing or business development role, preferably in a professional services or consulting environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and trends
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders
- Proficient in using CRM systems and data analysis tools
- Familiarity with industry-specific portals and bidding processes
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the energy industry, particularly in the areas of nuclear, oil, gas, , or renewable energy.
- Knowledge of energy market modelling and forecasting techniques.
- Familiarity with energy policy, regulations, and their impact on the industry.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Adaptability to changing market conditions and business needs.
