Novaspect, Inc., an Emerson Impact Partner, the global leader in automation systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our fast paced, customer-oriented Reliability Solutions team. The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve revenue targets through the promotion and sale of Reliability Products, Services, Consulting, Training and Fluid Sealing. This role requires a strategic leader with deep industry knowledge, strong sales expertise, and the ability to build lasting client relationships in industrial markets.


Sales Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth in Emerson AMS, Chesterton, Spartakus and Reliability Solutions, aligning with company objectives
  • Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, setting clear performance goals and providing ongoing coaching to ensure success
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets by identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and penetrating new markets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and partnering on their Reliability Journey
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate representation of Emerson AMS, Chesterton, Spartakus and Reliability Solutions capabilities to clients
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify opportunities for growth and innovation in the product and service portfolio
  • Oversee the creation of proposals, quotes, and contracts, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards
  • Work closely with operations, marketing, engineering, and service teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services, enhancing customer satisfaction
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and pipeline updates to senior management, leveraging CRM tools for data-driven insights
  • Ensure the sales team is well-versed in the technical aspects of Emerson AMS, Chesterton, Spartakus and Reliability Solutions software and hardware solutions
  • Identify and implement strategies to maximize value capture by demonstrating the ROI and benefits of Reliability Products, Services, Consulting, Training and Fluid Sealing solutions to clients, ensuring pricing and contracts reflect the value delivered

Requirements

Sales Manager Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in industrial markets, with at least 3 years in a sales leadership role
  • Experience with Reliability Products, Services, Consulting, Training and Fluid Sealing is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of fluid sealing technologies (e.g., gaskets, seals, packing), predictive maintenance strategies, and Emerson AMS suite (e.g., AMS Device Manager, AMS Machine Works)
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a sales team, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical solutions to diverse audiences
  • Strong customer relationship management skills, with a consultative sales approach
  • Proficiency in analyzing sales data, market trends, and forecasting to drive strategic decisions
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and support the sales team (up to 40%)

Sales Manager Additional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with industrial sectors such as oil and gas, chemical processing, paper and pulp, food and beverage, power generation, or manufacturing
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of condition monitoring, reliability engineering, or asset management principles
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams to translate client needs into actionable solutions

Sales Manager Pay:

  • Base Salary Range: $155,000 - $180,000
  • Potential Bonus: 25%
