NICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position
Location: Fairbanks, AK
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 16 weeks
Shift: 3x12s Nights
Pay: $2535/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled NICU RN to provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns. The RN will monitor and support fragile infants, collaborate with the care team, and provide education and emotional support to families.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing ventilators or specialized equipment.
Assess and respond to changes in patient condition promptly.
Collaborate with neonatologists and interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans.
Educate and support parents and families on newborn care and discharge planning.
Document patient care accurately and adhere to safety, infection control, and NICU protocols.
Respond effectively to neonatal emergencies.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in AK
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
COVID vaccine, TB test
Minimum 1 year of NICU nursing experience
