Title : Director of Admissions
Basic Function : Oversee Admissions department
Reports To : Chief Executive Officer
Hours : Full time
Salary : Negotiated
Overtime : Not Allowed
Evaluations : 90 days and Annual
Education : A baccalaureate degree and/or license in chemical dependency treatment is required.
Experience : Minimum of 3 years experience in chemical dependency treatment and 1 year of admissions experience. Supervisory experience is preferred
Responsibilities :
1. Maintain Admissions Department policies and procedures and update annually
- Recruit/train/maintain/supervise employees to meet departmental goals and objectives
- Provide annual departmental report to administration
- Ensure 24 hour response to admission calls
- Ensure that each patient meets admission criteria
- Ensure that available insurance benefits are verified and documented in the EMR on each patient
- Collaborate daily with clinical and administrative staff
to coordinate patient admissions, transfers and financial matters.
- Ensure that each patient receives timely and professional screening and assessment services
- Ensure that each patient and family receives adequate orientation to
facilities and services
- Ensure that referral sources and significant other receive timely communication
- Ensure that all admissions activity is documented in the electronic record in a timely and accurate fashion
- Participate in company COi program
- Represent department in weekly Leadership Meetings.
- Supervise all admissions processes including arranging patient transportation to and from facility
