Human Resources Generalist
Founded in 1975, BR+A Consulting Engineers maintains a total staff of over 500 employees located at our main office in Boston and branch offices in New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Vienna, VA (Washington, DC); Coral Gables, FL (Miami); Chicago, IL; St. Louis, MO; Tampa, FL; Charlotte, NC; Charleston, SC; Houston, TX; New Haven, CT; Los Angeles, CA and Toronto. BR+A provides state-of-the-art integrated and coordinated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection consulting engineering, technology systems design, lighting design, and building commissioning services.
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our talented team in our Boston headquarters.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks, be highly organized, have excellent writing skills, demonstrate proficient computer skills, and have a professional and team-oriented demeanor. This position’s duties include:
- Fostering positive and professional relationships with all colleagues as this position interacts with employees to handle questions, requests or issues
- Championing and facilitating the onboarding process by ensuring that it is high quality and up to date, and provides clarity and connection for new employees
- Managing digital copies of employee records and maintaining HRIS system with accrual data
- Coordinating benefit training sessions
- Completing and verifying I‑9 documentation and files
- Establishing and maintaining employee information in ADP and/or Deltek
- Providing HRIS support as needed
- Assisting with maintaining employee files
- Performing other related duties as assigned
- Communicating regularly with others to exchange information
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Business
- 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources
- Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner
