Position Summary 

As Manager of IT, this individual contributor role will be responsible for the IT function focused to deliver best-in-class IT Services that ensure employees are productive and the organization secure. Accountable to ensure the high availability and performance of systems, networks and devices with direct focus on people, process, technology in support of the business strategy. Oversee internal IT infrastructure and resources, while managing vendors, budgets and IT projects in a fast-paced environment.

The Contribution: 

  • Manage the End User Experience and Services through the company's Managed Service Provider and external IT vendors
  • Provide IT expertise pertaining to systems, software and hardware purchases and maintenance focusing on the businesses' corporate strategies
  • Oversee all corporate IT & Cloud infrastructure AWS and Azure plus with familiarity of multi – cloud infrastructure. 
  • Lead IT company/systems-wide projects and data migrations to include design and deployment 
  • Analyze and assess IT business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization then recommend and develop IT solutions 
  • Define IT processes, standard, guidelines, policies and manage partners/ vendors for quality IT outcomes 
  • Managing ISP’s, Servers, PC, Phone systems, domains and storage across the US and International  
  • Lead IT Cybersecurity efforts, Manage Detection and Incident Response, Identity Management and Disaster Recovery plan
  • Update IT policies, SOC II risk analysis, Business Continuity plans.
  • Travel: 10% – 20% domestic

You bring to the organization the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in the IT field, having managed different IT systems 
  • Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and services, IT Project Management, MS Office suite including Azure and AWS 
  • Experience maintaining network equipment including switches, firewalls, routers, and access points
  • Strong understanding of: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, SFTP, VPN, SMTP
  • Location: Columbia MD onsite strongly preferred with flexible hybrid environment
  • Strong collaborator across all levels of colleagues and management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proven experiences meeting and maintaining compliance requirements
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel
