Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the SRJC Coordinator, the Inclusion Aide will work 1:1 with an individual with a disability in the least restrictive environment.
Essential Duties

- Follow SRJC/Joliet Park District policies and procedures
- Responsible for the supervision and safety of the individual in the program.
- Assist the individual with social skills
- Assist the individual with understanding and following rules and directions and/or modifying an activity so they can participate.
- Assist in providing appropriate communication to parents and participant.
- Ability to implement program plans.
- Actively participate in park district program
- Maintain program supplies and equipment
Hours
This is a part-time position. Hours may include days, nights and/or weekends.
Supervisory responsibilities
Participant in park district program.
Work environment
This job will be performed indoors in a temperature controlled setting. At times, job tasks will include participating outdoors with varying weather conditions. Work environment may be loud at times.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Education and Experience
- 1 year of experience working with people with disabilities is preferred.
Additional eligibility requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must complete DCFS Mandated Reporter Training upon hire
- CPR/First Aid certification required or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
