The FCT Practitioner (FCT) Practitioner will provide structured, goal oriented and time limited Family Centered Treatment (FCT) in the natural environment to families who need assistance recovering for a variety of issues including but not limited to: mental health needs, substance abuse, physical, sexual, and emotional abuse and neglect. FCT Practitioners focus on the family’s strengths and empower them to make changes that have a lasting impact. This is an innovative evidenced-based approach which achieves effective outcomes. The FCT Practitioner helps to identify, document, and address the consumer’s needs and provides the clinical services in the home, community, or program site, in accordance with governing regulations.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
- Provide Family Center Treatment to families in accordance with program specifications.
- Required to make a minimum of 2, multi-hour face-to-face sessions per week with each family system with the exception of titration at discharge.
- Must be available to work a schedule that is flexible and able to meet the needs of each family they serve. This will often require meeting in the evenings and on the weekends.
- Provide crisis intervention to family 24/7 as needed.to participate in an on-call rotation with other team members as indicated by program.
- Participate in all required meetings and serve as the FCT facilitator and recorder on a rotating basis.
- Will provided after-care linkage and follow up, as needed.
- Provide thorough documentation including FCT fidelity documentation and progress notes, monthly reports and assessments.
- Participate in all required meetings and trainings.
- Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory agency standards.
- May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete company vehicle training.
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health or other related human services field. At least 1 year of previous experience working with youth in a mental health setting.
- The FCT Practitioner will complete the Wheels of Change online training course within 8 weeks of hire.
- In addition to the online-based training and required readings, the certification process requires Field Certification: the videotaped or observed demonstration of competencies in the field with real clients.
- The FCT Practitioner should be fully FCT Certified (completed the online training program and field-based competencies) within 6-9 months of hire.
- Once certified, the FCT Practitioner will complete all activities necessary to maintain certification from FCTF including recertification every 2 years.
