Job Summary:
To assist the resource center specialist in the organization and maintenance of the media center to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of services. To assist the front office in daily operations. Greeting visitors, students and parents, assisting as needed for various tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist resource center specialist in the daily operation of the media center
- Assist students and teachers in the selection of materials
- Assist in circulation tasks (checking in/out of books and materials, etc)
- Perform general clerical tasks and repairs of books and materials
- Perform a variety of clerical tasks (e.g. typing, filing, copying, scheduling, etc) following standardized procedures in support of assigned personnel
- Prepare instructional materials and documents for teachers following established guidelines
- Assist in the daily recording and maintenance of student attendance records to ensure reliable data for district, state and federal reporting purposes
- Assist in the registration of new students and withdrawal of students to provide reliable data for district, state and federal reporting purposes
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
- Regular and on-time attendance required
- Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
- Assists with other assigned duties as appropriate to the area of assignment and Mesa Public Schools

Education:
- High School education or equivalent
