About This Role:

We’re looking for a full-time Snowflake Developer to join our IT team, reporting to the Lead Data Analyst. This role is a hybrid role based out of our Hyderabad, India location.

In this role, you’ll play a key role in advancing Gainsight’s mission of transforming customer success through data-driven innovation by designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines on Snowflake’s cloud platform. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, Agile environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with Data Leads, Architects, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong skills in Snowflake development, data pipeline optimization, and seamless data integration.

What You'll Do: 

• Design and Build Scalable Data Pipelines: Partner with Data Leads/Architects to architect and implement robust, high-performance data pipelines using Snowflake, ensuring Gainsight’s platform delivers real-time insights to customers.

• End-to-End Application Development: Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on orchestration/scheduling, SQL queries, stored procedures, and coding to enhance Gainsight’s data ecosystem.

• Drive Operational Excellence: Contribute to product roadmaps by proposing and implementing ideas that enhance operational efficiencies and streamline data workflows.

• Agile Collaboration: Actively engage in daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, and product planning sessions as part of Gainsight’s Agile team, fostering collaboration and innovation.

• Optimize for Performance: Design and implement solutions to meet non-functional requirements (NFRs) like latency, scalability, and resource optimization, ensuring Gainsight’s platform performs at its best.

• Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify and resolve issues in data pipelines, applications, and Snowflake implementations, maintaining Gainsight’s reputation for reliability and excellence.

What We're Looking For: 

Must-Have Skills

• B.Tech/BE in Computer Science

• Snowflake Mastery: 2–5 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• SQL Expertise: 4+ years of experience in SQL, with advanced skills in query writing, stored procedures, and database design.

• Python for Automation: 1+ year of experience in Python, particularly for building automation scripts and tools to streamline workflows.

• Problem-Solving Prowess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, grounded in computer science fundamentals and a passion for tackling complex challenges.

• Exceptional Communication: Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Attention to Detail: A meticulous, analytical mindset with a focus on precision and quality in every data solution you deliver.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Orchestration Tools: Experience with tools like Workato, Airflow, or similar for workflow automation and scheduling.

• API Integration: Knowledge of retrieving and processing data from REST APIs, enhancing Gainsight’s integrations with third-party systems.

• Data Formats: Familiarity with handling JSON, Avro, and Parquet datasets in a Snowflake environment.

• ETL Expertise: Experience integrating multiple applications using ETL tools to streamline data workflows.

• Salesforce and Oracle ERP: Experience extracting and integrating data from Salesforce or Oracle ERP systems, which are integral to Gainsight’s ecosystem.
