Plumbers will be performing demolition work on existing plumbing structures and replacing with new. This involves working within a crawlspace of 42" with some overhead obstructions, as well as working with pex/pvc and sweating copper.
Job Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial renovation projects. This includes sweating copper.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine plumbing layouts and requirements.
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure plumbing work integrates smoothly with other renovation activities.
Inspect plumbing systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local plumbing codes and industry safety standards.
Troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide cost-effective solutions.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior plumbers or apprentices, as needed.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial plumber, preferably in renovation projects.
Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and gas piping.
Ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Ability to sweat copper proficiently.
Own basic plumbing hand tools and knee pads.
Must have valid driver’s license, valid vehicle insurance, and personal reliable transportation (no exceptions).
