Over the intensive 12-week program, you'll master the intricacies of repairing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining refrigeration systems through a dynamic blend of classroom instruction, hands-on lab sessions, and real-world field experience.

Flexibility is key, with varied hours between 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, including occasional weekend assignments. Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to obtaining EPA Universal and OSHA-30 certifications within two months of starting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn to perform proper service practices.
  • Learn how to respond to service calls, perform scheduled maintenance, make refrigeration and mechanical equipment repairs.
  • Perform diagnostics to detect malfunctions and defects in equipment.
  • Learn to install refrigeration equipment and all related parts and pieces.
  • Troubleshoot to ensure the system is functioning properly following repairs.
  • Effectively communicate and update all information regarding assignments to the team.
  • Eventually provide own basic tools for the trade.
  • Demonstrate retention of knowledge through both hands-on and written testing.
  • Travel Required
  • Other duties as required, including working in other departments.

Desired Skills, Certifications, and Education:
