SUMMARY
Operate powered industrial truck/forklift to move pallets, materials, and finished parts to designated storage areas and work centers.

HOURS

6:00 am - 2:30 pm M-F

OR

7:00 am - 3:30 pm M-F

SUMMARY 

• Responsible for daily inspections of powered industrial truck (forklift) and general preventative maintenance 
• Obtains job packet and moves material or parts using a powered industrial truck (forklift) to and from designated areas in the facility 
• Responds to requests from machine operators to move materials and finished parts to the next work center 
• Trusted to ensure loads are properly secured 
• In down time, tasked with operating industrial polisher or saw
• Perform other duties as assigned 

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED 

• Basic math, fractions, and decimals 
• Understanding of precision measurement 
• Ability to operate industrial equipment  
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment 
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records. 
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions 
• Good eye-hand-foot coordination 
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights 
• Ability to identify varying types of materials 
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. 
• Requires sitting for long periods, standing, bending, twisting, lifting, walking
